I need pie...
Now I think I know how the cast and crew of Pushing Daisies felt…
So I go into my e-mail box this morning to check up on what happened while I was asleep and I get a cold splash of water on a cold snowy day. Apparently my subscription with the host of this site has been cancelled…
…and it isn’t even my fault!!!
Okay, long story short – payments for the monthly subscription for this site are taken automatically through PayPal at the beginning of the month. Well this month for some reason it wasn’t taken. Apparently there is a problem with the PayPal account of my host’s parent company in the UK. When the 1st of the month came and no payment was taken I got an e-mail saying they would try again on the 4th. Well the 4th came and the payment couldn’t be taken again, so then they said they would try again on the 9th.
Weeeeeell….
Apparently they tried again with no luck. So now I get another e-mail saying this:
Dear xxx xxxxxxxx,
Your subscription to Hostazar – Invoice #xxxxhas been cancelled by R5 Ltd.
You will not be billed for this subscription again.
Wait a second, COME AGAIN?!?!?
I have been trying to get in touch with someone at Hostazar and R5 Ltd. all day long. They haven’t gotten back to me yet and I hope they do soon. Although the fact that this site is still up and running is a good sign, and maybe they are getting this from a lot of their subscribers.
Memo to Hostazar and R5 Ltd: Let us know what is going on, will ya? Some of us are panicking out here and we want to know if our sites still have a home or not. I’ve already backed this site up and my wife is telling me I need to go to GoDaddy.com and fast! I really don’t want to have to do that as I like your company, I like your service, I like that fact that you’re green and I like how easy it was to set everything up with you. Over at GoDaddy it’s not so easy – trust me. I’ve already transfered one of my other sites over there and am in the process of trying to transfer another over to their servers and I can tell you it is a royal pain-in-the-AAAAAASSSSSSSS!!!!! Especially if you have a forum board attached to your site like I do at PCFootball.net. Trying to get a databse set up over there is a bitch if you don’t know what you’re doing – which I don’t.
So if any of you at Hostazar or R5 Ltd. are loking at this please, for God’s sake can I and all of your other customers get some news?
Meanwhile I will just sit here and try to attract some good news like you’ve got your problems straightened out and everything is back to normal.
